MTN Nigeria has announced its partnership with Nokia, to afford customers the opportunity to trade in their old phones and get up to N18, 000 back on the new Nokia 625 smartphone.
Speaking on the partnership, General Manager, Consumer Marketing, Kola Oyeyemi, said MTN was committed to the delivery of a new digital world to its customers, adding “the thrust of this initiative is to help cater to the needs of customers who desire affordable smart phones and mobile internet connectivity, on the go.”

He said MTN presently, is the best ICT network in the country that offers top-range mobile internet connectivity. “We, therefore, decided to partner with Nokia, the mobile phone-making company to offer subscribers, on our network, greater value for their money.”
The affiliation offers customers the chance to trade in their used phones and get up to a N18, 000refunds on the new Nokia Lumia 625 smartphone. The Nokia Lumia smartphone on offer runs, on the Windows Phone 8 platform.
To be a part of the MTN Phone Upgrade Programme, customers basically walk into MTN stores, with their old phones and charger in good condition and they will enjoy a discount of up to N18, 000, on the new Nokia Lumia 625. This includes a free instant discount of up to N6, 000, Free Nokia DC-16 battery bank accessory, valued at N4000 and 100 per cent instant Internet data bonus of up to N8, 000 monthly, on activation of 250MB and above.
