Zinox Technologies, an indigenous computer hardware production outfit will spend N50 million to provide digital knowledge content in four primary schools in Lagos.

Mr Leo Ekeh, the Chairman of Zinox, said in Lagos on Friday, while handing over four patrol vehicles and some ICT products to the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) in Ikeja.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Gov. Babatunde Fashola, in company of some members of the state`s executive council received the items on behalf on the LSSTF.

Ekeh said the digital contents would be delivered to the benefitting schools, to be selected by the State Government in September.

“The provision of these digital contents is aimed at making kids from privileged and exposed public schools better, while enhancing the overall academic performance of the under-served.

“We would also provide digital training sessions for teachers to improve the overall teaching and learning experience,’’ he said.

Ekeh said the company had supported ICT development in a number of secondary schools in the state through the donation of computers.

The chairman added the equipping of the digital library of the Lagos State Polytechnic, Ikorodu was also one of Zinox`s interventions in the state`s education sector.

He pledged the firm`s continued support for education in the state to further promote the overall the development of the state.

Ekeh said his firm donated the patrol vehicles and some ICT products to LSSTF to complement the State Government’s efforts at ensuring the security of lives and properties.

He promised that Zinox would continue to collaborate with the government on any initiatives that would promote security and safe business environment in the state.

Speaking, Fashola thanked the management of the company for supporting the state government`s efforts at promoting security with the donated items.

While saying security was not the business of the government alone, he called on other corporate organisations to emulate the Zinox example by partnering with the government to provide security.

He called on residents to take the issue of security seriously by volunteering information would help the government to tackle it.
